The Lighthouse SCP suite is built on the .NET Platform. The Client UI interacts with the end-user, and is installed on each individual user system. Using the inputs (master and transactional) provided by the user through the client using JSON/Web Services, the system generates planning output using the proprietary business logic, which sits in the N-Tier Business Layer of the Server component. Once the output is generated, the output can be pushed into a database through the Data Access Layer. In general, the Data Access Layer can be used to coordinate data flows to/from the connected database. Finally, when data is to be viewed on the Client UI, the desired information is converted into XML format.
